The congregation here at St. Meddan’s are a friendly, welcoming community of Christians from Troon and the surrounding areas. We are part of the Church of Scotland and are committed to serving Jesus and growing His kingdom throughout our community here in Troon.
Our Minister, Rev Derek Peat, has been with us for almost exactly a year as of August 2014 and has brought a fresh vision of how to serve Christ and live out a life of love and service to Him. More recently, we appointed a new Children’s and Youth Development Worker, John Burns, in April.
Our services are a mix of traditional and more modern worship, led by our choir and ‘Praisemor’ music group, prayer, teaching from the Bible and a time for tea/coffee and fellowship in the main hall after the service ends (usually around 11:30).
St Meddan’s is part of Troon Churches Together, an ecumenical group working to promote the gospel and further the work of Christ in our town and beyond. The group often organise events and services, particularly around Easter and Christmas time.
St Meddan’s is a Registered Scottish Charity, No.SC015019.
