Welcome to St Meddan’s Parish Church

Worship is at the heart of our life here and our weekly services are relaxed and suitable for all ages.

Whether you have recently moved to Troon, are on holiday or are looking to establish/re-establish church connections we would be delighted to welcome you into our family for Sunday Worship to hear God’s Word and experience and learn more of his love for us all.

We are a warm friendly congregation and you will feel at home in God’s house as soon as you are greeted at the door by our Welcome Team.

Our Sunday Service at 10.30am is attended by around 200. It is led by the Minister with support from members of the congregation. There is a mix of traditional and modern worship supported by the use of visual aids for the hymns, bible readings and the children’s address.

We have an active Junior Church which the children go to part way through the service and a crèche facility is available throughout the service.

After the service why not join us for a cup of tea or coffee and the opportunity for a chat?

We have many organisations which meet in the Church Halls during the week involving our congregation and the wider community.

As part of Troon Churches Together we enjoy working with other Churches in the town for Joint initiatives.

What’s on this Sunday?

This coming Sunday, November 2nd, we have our ‘minister swap’ as part of our link with St. Quivox Parish. So we have Rhona Young coming to preach here at St. Meddan’s, while our own minister, Derek Peat, will be down the road at St. Quivox. Rhona is also bringing another member of the ministry team from St. Quivox who will take our children’s spot in the morning service, and we look forward to welcoming them both this Sunday. As always, there will be the creche for babies and toddlers, Jigsaw for pre-schoolers, Ignite group for Primary ages, and Catalyst for teenagers running as part of the service. There will also be the normal tea/coffee/juice in Pentland hall after the service for a time of fellowship. All visitors are most welcome to come and join with us as we come together to worship this Sunday!
