Welcome to St Meddan’s Parish Church
Worship is at the heart of our life here and our weekly services are relaxed and suitable for all ages.
Whether you have recently moved to Troon, are on holiday or are looking to establish/re-establish church connections we would be delighted to welcome you into our family for Sunday Worship to hear God’s Word and experience and learn more of his love for us all.
We are a warm friendly congregation and you will feel at home in God’s house as soon as you are greeted at the door by our Welcome Team.
Our Sunday Service at 10.30am is attended by around 200. It is led by the Minister with support from members of the congregation. There is a mix of traditional and modern worship supported by the use of visual aids for the hymns, bible readings and the children’s address.
We have an active Junior Church which the children go to part way through the service and a crèche facility is available throughout the service.
After the service why not join us for a cup of tea or coffee and the opportunity for a chat?
We have many organisations which meet in the Church Halls during the week involving our congregation and the wider community.
As part of Troon Churches Together we enjoy working with other Churches in the town for Joint initiatives.
What’s on this Sunday?
This coming Sunday, December 21st, we have our Lessons and Carols service here at St. Meddan’s led by Rev Derek Peat at 10:30am. With Christmas fast approaching it’s good to take a little time out of the hectic shopping and planning to remember the true meaning of Christmas time through the Bible stories that tell us of Jesus coming into the world as our Saviour. As usual we have our Crèche facitlties available for babies and toddlers and our Jigsaw and Ignite groups for pre-school and primary school children running during the morning service. Visitors are most welcome and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
But that’s not all this Sunday! As we also have, for the very first time, our St. Meddan’s Christmas Spectacular on Sunday evening at 6:30pm. This is being led by our Children’s and Youth Worker, John Burns and Rev Ron Rye and is an all age, family event, looking at the Christmas story from a fresh perspective and will include some carols, interviews, games, prizes to be won and a lot of fun for everyone (check out the flyer below!). It’s a free event and is open to all, so come along and see what it’s all about on Sunday evening!
